Job summary

Dyson Malaysia is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade AI systems within Dyson’s global IT data community. You’ll lead technical delivery across squads, guiding architecture and implementation of production-grade AI platforms.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-team initiatives, and partner with Data Science, AI/ML Ops, Platform, and Product teams to ensure secure, governed delivery of AI solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong Python production-grade coding and API design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable AI systems and agentic workflows across squads.
• Define architecture patterns for orchestration, multi-step reasoning, tool use, and agent coordination.
• Set standards for context engineering, prompt design, retrieval augmentation, grounding, and memory systems.
• Oversee modular APIs, services, and integration layers for enterprise AI delivery.
• Establish evaluation frameworks, quality gates, and continuous improvement loops for reliability and performance.
• Own production monitoring, tracing, observability, debugging, and incident response patterns for AI systems.
• Mentor engineers through design/code reviews and technical planning across teams.
• Collaborate with Data Science, AI/ML Ops, Platform, and Product teams to ensure secure, governed delivery.
• Define reusable components and standards to accelerate AI solution delivery.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable AI architectures and solutions.
• Share learnings and educate the broader business on responsible AI usage.
