Job summary

Private Advertiser in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a qualified candidate for a Laboratory Technician/Senior role in a food/environmental testing lab. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor degree in chemistry, food science or microbiology and has at least 3 years of relevant experience. Senior-level applicants with 10+ years may apply as Scientific Officer.

Registration with MOH (MJMM) and IKM (Ch.M) is preferred. Proficiency with GC, GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, FTIR, GFAAS, ICP-MS is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in chemistry, food science and microbiology.
• Minimum 3 years' work experience in food/environmental testing laboratory.
• Senior laboratory technicians with more than 10 years relevant experience may apply as Scientific Officer.
• MOH (MJMM) and IKM (Ch.M) registration preferred.
• Able to handle GC, GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, FTIR, GFAAS, ICP-MS.
• Candidates able to work independently and as a team member.
• Compile and record documentation needed for testing and reports preparation.
• Proactive and able to interact with other staff in laboratory operations, quality assurance, research and development.
