Job summary

RHB Investment Bank in Malaysia seeks a driven software engineer to deliver and support enterprise-level application solutions. You will manage scope, develop within the existing ecosystem, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements include 5+ years in application development, Java and Spring Boot expertise, and strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and CI/CD. Banking/fintech exposure is a plus; Agile experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in application development or a related field.
• Experience in banking or fintech is a plus.
• Proven track record delivering projects from development to production.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, SOLID and KISS principles.
• Hands-on with web APIs/web services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficient with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing and delivery of IT applications and change requests with SMEs to ensure functionality meets business needs.
• Develop technical solutions within the existing ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Squad Lead to plan and manage deliverables and timelines.
• Evaluate business processes, identify improvements, and implement solutions.
• Review requirement analysis and SIT testing scope.
• Identify risks and mitigate delivery issues.
• Uplift efficiency and maintain high-quality standards in solution delivery.
• Understand system usage and advocate improvements to optimize efficiency.
• Provide production support and identify root causes of issues.
• Offer post-implementation support to business users.
• Ensure compliance with processes, audits, and risk considerations in user stories.
