Job summary

X-FAB in Kuching, Malaysia seeks an IT Systems Engineer to administer and secure the company’s infrastructure, including Windows servers, virtualization, backup, and storage. You will manage AD, VMware vSphere, Proxmox, Veeam, and storage, ensuring availability, performance, and recoverability for manufacturing and business operations.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, security hardening, incident resolution, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure and virtualization environments.
• Proven expertise in Windows Server, VMware vSphere, SAN storage, and backup/recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments, including provisioning, configuration, patching and lifecycle management.
• Manage VMware vSphere environments and Proxmox VE for virtualization.
• Administer Veeam Backup & Replication and ensure backup integrity and DR readiness.
• Maintain SAN storage, monitor capacity and perform firmware upgrades.
• Support ISO 27001 and maintain security hardening and documentation.
