Senior IT Security Engineer, Consumer Credit Oversight Board Taskforce (CCOB)

Drive the formulation and execution of cybersecurity strategy, framework, policies and procedures to safeguard CCOB’s digital assets, from information to infrastructure.

Main Accountabilities

· Apply deep familiarity of global developments and risks within the cybersecurity space, and contextualise these to CCOB’s business requirements in order to formulate cybersecurity management framework, strategies, governance, guidelines and best practices to achieve cohesive and complete cyber compliance and capability across CCOB

· Lead the deployment and implementation of cybersecurity strategy to minimise the impact of cyber-risk and perform pre-emptive enterprise cyber risk assessments to scan for threats, incidents and breach patterns.

· Utilise sound understanding of business areas, outcomes and requirements in leading timely reviews and amendments of cybersecurity frameworks, standards and procedures to safeguard critical assets, systems and data, and strategise on new security technology approaches and implement next generation solutions to ensure compliance and governance across CCOB

· Inculcate self-sustaining security technology practices, awareness and behaviours across the organisation to drive a collective culture of security ownership and oversee the collaboration with various cross-functional teams to establish IT security policies, standards and procedures

· Partner, advise and guide internal and external parties to integrate IT project and cybersecurity plans to continuously align strategies, objectives and timelines, via a collaborative and inclusive working model, and revise plans as needed in response to new information, technical developments or perceived risk scenarios

· Ensure key regulatory and legal requirements are consistently reviewed, updated and adhered to

· Establish business continuity plans to ensure continuous service when a change program is introduced, a security breach occurs or if the disaster recovery plan needs to be triggered

· Establish clear and consistent management practices within teams by fostering an environment of collaboration, efficiency, and synergy to ensure the team operates effectively and cohesively.

· Identify areas for team members’ learning and development, considering the competency framework and consumer credit ecosystem needs and changes, to meet job expectations and build organisational capacity.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related discipline

Experience

Preferably 8 years of experience in a leadership position for major IT projects or teams, preferably with security focus
