Job summary

Radii Global in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Consultant to provide 2nd and 3rd level support for security incidents and to help maintain a secure environment. You will monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and collaborate with Digital, Operational Technology, and Development teams.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender Platform, knowledge of security standards such as ISO 27001 / NIST CSF, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT Security.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft Defender Platform.
• Strong experience investigating and handling IT security incidents.
• Knowledge of security standards and frameworks, including ISO 2700x / ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or similar frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct security assessments and recommend corrective actions.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working with teams and stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Act as 2nd and 3rd level support for IT security incidents reported through security tools
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve IT security incidents
• Ensure root causes are identified and appropriate corrective actions are implemented
• Develop, configure, maintain, and support the Microsoft Defender Platform
• Continuously optimize Microsoft Defender security capabilities and configurations
• Monitor and follow up alerts generated by EDR systems
• Monitor and investigate alerts from SIEM platforms
• Perform digital forensics and security investigations when required
• Participate in IT security projects and initiatives
• Support the security design of new and existing IT solutions
