Job summary

Sime Darby Holdings Berhad is seeking an Internal Audit professional to assist in planning, fieldwork and reporting. The role involves identifying risks, testing controls, and delivering pragmatic recommendations while maintaining rigorous documentation.

The position requires English and Mandarin proficiency, 2 years of internal audit experience, and willingness to travel to the Greater China Region from Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/IT/Legal/Engineering or professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/CIA/CISA/CFE).
• About 2 years of internal audit/risk management experience; experience with international firms or large MNCs preferred.
• Working experience in the Greater China Region is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Mandarin.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and high integrity.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, auditing tools and data analytics skills.
• Willing to be based in Malaysia and travel to the Greater China Region.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team leader and participate in audit planning discussions to identify risks and develop audit programs.
• Perform end-to-end audit fieldwork with tests to assess internal control effectiveness per GIAS.
• Determine root causes and provide pragmatic, value-added recommendations.
• Conduct special audits, ad-hoc investigations and reviews as required.
• Assist in drafting audit reports for review and complete other tasks as assigned.
• Maintain working papers and documentation per best practices to support reviews.
