Job summary

Eco-Shop Marketing Berhad is seeking an Internal Audit Lead to drive risk-based audits across the organization in Malaysia. You will manage the full lifecycle from planning through follow-up, evaluate governance and controls, and prepare evidence-based findings with actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate has a Finance/Accounting degree, at least two years in Internal Audit, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant experience in Internal Audit.
• Strong analytical, report writing and problem-solving skills.
• Able to organize and manage multiple priorities and goals with tight deadlines.
• Passionate, accountable and able to manage stakeholder well.
• Independent, Detail-Oriented and Team Player.
• CIA, CISA or other professional certifications are an advantage.
• Able to travel if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit assignments in line with the approved risk-based annual audit plan, delivering work on schedule and to a high standard.
• Manage the full audit lifecycle, including risk assessment, planning, audit programme development, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls, and identify opportunities to strengthen them.
• Analyze data, transactions and business processes to identify trends, anomalies, control gaps and emerging risks.
• Prepare clear, evidence-based audit findings, root-cause analyses and practical recommendations for management.
• Present audit results and discuss recommendations with stakeholders, supporting timely agreement on action plans.
• Monitor and validate corrective actions to assess whether issues have been resolved effectively and sustainably.
• Contribute to special reviews, investigations and ad hoc assignments as required.
• Support the development of audit practices, tools and methodologies, and coach junior team members where appropriate.
