About the role

Slot Design Studio(M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our talented team in our Petaling Jaya, Selangor office. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in overseeing and driving the creative vision and execution of our interior design projects.

Role Summary:

As the Senior Interior Designer, you will oversee the entire design process from concept to completion. You will lead a team of designers, collaborate with clients, and ensure that our design projects meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of interior designers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure professional growth and project excellence.

Project Oversight: Oversee all phases of design projects, including initial concept development, space planning, material selection, and final implementation.

Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and translate their vision into innovative and functional design solutions.

Design Excellence: Ensure all designs align with the company's brand and client expectations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity.

Budget & Time Management: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Vendor Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

At least 7 years of experience in an interior design role, with a demonstrable track record of managing and delivering successful projects

With Architectural design background will be advantages.

Excellent design skills with a strong command of design principles, materials and construction methods

Proficient in using various design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop.

Strong leadership and project management abilities, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate a team

Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present design concepts and ideas persuasively

Thorough understanding of relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards
