StarHub is seeking a seasoned integration/backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain integration services using Java and Go. You will work across teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions on container platforms.
You will reinforce production readiness with observability tooling (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana) and drive CI/CD automation with OpenShift/Kubernetes, while mentoring peers and promoting best practices in development and operations.
Design, develop, and maintain integration services using Java and Go.
Build and deploy containerized applications on OCP (OpenShift) / Kubernetes platforms.
Implement API-based and event-driven integration solutions across systems and partners.
Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, and resilience.
Implement observability practices using tools such as Splunk and other monitoring/telemetry platforms (logs, metrics, traces).
Support production systems by troubleshooting integration issues and improving system reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure readiness.
Apply security best practices in APIs, integrations, and data exchange.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to improving integration standards and reusable components.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in development and operations.
6–10 years of experience in integration, middleware, or backend engineering roles.
Strong hands-on experience in Java and/or Go programming.
Proven experience building and deploying applications on Kubernetes / OpenShift (OCP) platforms.
Experience in implementing API, microservices, and/or event-driven architectures.
Practical experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, messaging systems, and integration patterns.
Experience working in cloud-native and distributed systems environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production environments.
