Job summary

British Caymanian Insurance Company Limited, a Coralisle Group affiliate, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for BCIC and related entities in Grand Cayman. You will prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the Board, oversee audits, ensure regulatory reporting compliance, and drive internal controls.

You will manage budgeting, accounts, reinsurance, and staff, with responsibility across group projects and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field with professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA).
• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience, with 5+ in insurance.
• Strong IFRS 17 knowledge and regulatory reporting expertise.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the finance and accounting functions for BCIC and related entities.
• Prepare, analyse and present financial reports to senior management and Board.
• Manage annual external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Oversee internal audits and regulatory reporting compliance.
• Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Develop annual budgets and monitor performance vs. plan.
• Oversee accounts receivable/payable and reinsurance functions.
• Lead finance team, provide training and develop talent.
• Participate in group projects and system upgrades.
