Role Overview

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, and implementation of advanced IT and AI infrastructure solutions. This role requires strong L3 (Level 3) technical expertise and the ability to operate as a consultant to both customers and internal stakeholders. The engineer will deliver robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure covering both traditional and AI-driven environment across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be expected to:

• Design, implement, and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, AI, and cloud platforms.
• Provide technical insights and recommendations to optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
• Lead and support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident response for infrastructure-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver infrastructure solutions that support business projects and strategic initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve infrastructure architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance and alignment with industry best practices and regulatory frameworks (e.g. RMIT, CAF, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Implement and manage robust identity, access management, and security controls across all infrastructure components.
• Automate infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and operational processes using scripting, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
• Partner with IT security teams to embed and enhance security measures within the infrastructure landscape.
