Job summary

Veolia is seeking an experienced in-house counsel to provide comprehensive legal support across governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes advisory capability to business leaders, risk assessment, and practical mitigation within a global water-tech context.

The ideal candidate holds a law degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a multinational matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above degree in law.
• 8-12 years of in-house or law firm experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication abilities.
• Ability to navigate a matrix organization and educate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to business units on governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
• Advise business leaders on risk assessment and practical mitigation measures.
• Monitor regulatory developments and report to senior management on risks and opportunities.
• Support governance, data privacy, and contract management across regions and lines of business.
• Deliver trainings and awareness programs on compliance and corporate policies.
