Job summary

Lynas Rare Earths Ltd in Kuantan, Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Senior Process Engineer with strong hydrometallurgical experience to lead cracking and leaching operations, optimise recovery, throughput, and quality, and drive plant performance using data, lab results, and field observations.

You will mentor engineers, work with Operations and Maintenance teams, and champion process safety, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives in a busy, continuous-production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and communicate with operators and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering and plant performance for hydrometallurgy operations (cracking and leaching).
• Optimise acid cracking, leaching, separation, impurity removal, and purification.
• Monitor process data, mass balances, and deviations to drive improvements.
• Mentor Process Engineers and Technicians and ensure process safety and standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Instrumentation, Maintenance to improve control and performance.
