Job summary

Aurecon Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (Hydrology & Hydraulic Modeller) to lead hydrological and hydraulic modelling studies for river, stormwater and flood-risk projects in Malaysia.

You will develop models, analyze data and provide recommendations for flood mitigation and drainage improvements in line with local guidelines. You will collaborate with civil, structural and environmental teams, mentor junior modellers, and liaise with authorities like JPS and DID to ensure

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulic modelling.
Experience with GIS and interpretation of topographic data.
Knowledge of Malaysian drainage and flood-management requirements.
Experience in preparing technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

Develop, calibrate, and maintain hydrological and hydraulic models for rivers, drainage networks, and floodplains.
Perform rainfall-runoff, flood frequency, and peak-flow assessments for various return periods.
Produce flood maps and results for design and planning.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate modelling into design.
Prepare technical reports, methodologies, calculations and drawings.
Liaise with clients, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure compliance.
