The Senior HR Manager acts as the HR business partner, who has the responsibility in developing and driving people strategies for all of our operations in manufacturing plant in Johor Bahru with an ambitious expansion plan. You will be part of the valuable member of Asia Pacific HR team.
You will partner closely with business to drive an inclusive and diverse culture and create relevant human resource policies and programs for employees in line with business needs. You will develop a strong relationship with partners in talent acquisition, talent development, people reward, employee and labor relations and drive effective HR service delivery.
You will engage with all areas of business to ensure strategic initiatives integrate human capital considerations. You will be bringing your strong HR operational skills and knowledge of best practices. You will need to have considerable personal confidence, be decisive and agile, and intellectually sharp with sound judgment.
The position is based in our manufacturing plant in Johor Bahru. He/she reports disciplinary to the Vice President of Operation, and functionally to Senior Director, People & Places Asia Pacific.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel on all HR matters and ensure that HR goals are aligned with SICK strategic plans and program.
- Partnering with leadership teams to develop key strategies and objectives for the organization, ensuring that the HR initiatives and programs are clearly aligned with business/operations priorities.
- Lead the organization change management process in response to business/operations strategies.
- Participate in and be a key contributor by providing HR input for strategic business/operations projects assigned and long-term planning and budgeting processes.
- You ensure timely pipelining of quality talent in consideration to our strategic business/operations target picture to meet the expansion and operation needs.
- Play a leading role in implementing key HR activities including employer branding, onboarding, talent review, performance management, people development, etc.
- Provide advice and coaching to managers and employees on performance and development.
- Establish and maintain a positive work environment which encourages the full use of the organization’s diverse talents and abilities.
- Drive employee survey action plans and engagement outcomes including employee retention.
- Drive workforce planning strategy including productivity and workforce effectiveness actions.
- Support any potential HR diligence and integration initiatives from Global and Regional APAC as part of overall transformation.
- Support governance framework for employee and labor relations with focus on compliance to local laws and consistent deployment of best practices that maintains harmonious industrial relations.
Job Requirements:
- At least 10+ years of diverse HR business partnering experience preferably in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years in a country HR leadership role.
- Ability to balance between being ‘hands on’ and ‘strategic’.
- Talent obsessed – proven record of deploying talent strategies in support of business growth through talent acquisition and drive people development initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, assertive by conviction and collaborative by nature with strong people skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability and use of data to provide key business insights.
- Strong reputation as a HR professional, integrity and judgment that is beyond reproach.
