The Senior HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting the company’s talent acquisition, training, and organizational development initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, designing job descriptions, coordinating training programs, and ensuring all HR practices align with the company’s operational needs within the construction industry.
1. Recruitment & Selection
Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies for project-based and head office positions.
Collaborate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and forecast workforce needs.
Prepare and update job descriptions and job specifications.
Conduct interviews, assessments, and candidate evaluations to ensure quality hiring.
Maintain talent pipelines for key technical and management roles.
2. Training & Development
Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) across departments.
Plan, organize, and coordinate internal and external training programs.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and prepare post-training reports.
Support the development of career progression paths and competency frameworks.
3. HR Planning & Support
Assist in manpower planning and resource allocation for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Maintain HR metrics and provide regular recruitment and training reports.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and safety standards.
Participate in HR audits, employee engagement programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in recruitment and training within the construction or engineering industry.
Strong understanding of construction manpower structures and project-based staffing.
Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience in developing HR policies, competency frameworks, or onboarding systems.
Bilingual proficiency (English and Mandarin/Malay preferred). We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
