The Senior HR Manager acts as the HR business partner, responsible for developing and driving people strategies across our manufacturing plant in Johor Bahru, supporting our expansion plans. You will be a key member of the Asia Pacific HR team.

You will collaborate closely with the business to foster an inclusive and diverse culture, creating relevant HR policies and programs aligned with business needs. Building strong relationships with talent acquisition, talent development, rewards, employee and labor relations teams, you will ensure effective HR service delivery.

You will engage with all business areas to incorporate human capital considerations into strategic initiatives. Your strong HR operational skills, knowledge of best practices, confidence, decisiveness, agility, and sound judgment are essential.

The position is based at our Johor Bahru manufacturing plant. You will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and functionally to the Senior Director, People & Places Asia Pacific.

Role & Responsibilities:

As an HR leader and business partner, you will:

  • Provide counsel on HR matters, ensuring alignment with SICK's strategic plans.
  • Partner with leadership to develop organizational strategies and objectives.
  • Lead change management initiatives in response to business strategies.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, long-term planning, and budgeting.
  • Ensure a strong talent pipeline to meet expansion and operational needs.
  • Implement HR activities like employer branding, onboarding, talent review, performance management, and development.
  • Advise managers and employees on performance and growth.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Support workforce planning and productivity strategies.
  • Assist with HR diligence and integration during transformation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and maintain harmonious industrial relations.

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of diverse HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within manufacturing.
  • Ability to balance hands-on and strategic HR functions.
  • Proven talent strategy deployment supporting business growth.
  • Strong stakeholder management, assertiveness, collaboration, and excellent people skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, data analysis skills, and ability to provide business insights.
  • Reputation for integrity and sound judgment as an HR professional.
  • Ownership and result-oriented mindset.
