We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Senior Specialist, People Advisory & Operations where you will demonstrate a strong track record in the execution of overall People Operations initiatives for employees across our offices including Malaysia and Singapore. This role will be crucial in providing expert HR advice, managing day-to-day people operations, and contributing to strategic HR projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ownership of issues, is highly meticulous in thought process and actions, and takes initiative to act with urgency to follow through and problem solve with, and for your stakeholders.

What you will do:

HR Advisory
  • Being the point of contact to provide sound HR advice and support to employees on various HR matters including policies, benefits, performance, and career development.
  • Address employee queries and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Advise on the application of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and fair treatment of employees.
  • Identify potential HR risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Operations
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement efficient HR processes to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and taxation, and benefit administration in remote countries. Assist in other countries when support is needed.
  • Ensure work permit applications and immigration matters are processed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare employee dashboards/reports as needed.
  • HRIS employee core database management - Maintain accurate HR data in HRIS and ensure timely reporting and analytics.
  • Represent the company during audit/regulatory checks.
  • Work closely with the HR team to support and execute HR-related initiatives.
Project Management
  • HR Initiatives: Lead or support HR projects related to process improvement, automation, employee engagement, and strategic initiatives.
  • Change Management: Manage HR aspects of organizational changes, including communication, training, and transition support.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes and alignment with business objectives.
  • Fulfill any other tasks as reasonably instructed to assist in the business’s growth and progress.

What we are looking for:

  • Have at least 7+ years of experience in People Operations.
  • Experience working in a sizeable and fast-paced environment with a multi-cultural workforce.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee lifecycle, payroll administration, and/or HRIS.
  • Thorough and up-to-date working knowledge of local labor laws & taxation.
  • Highly analytical, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, proactive, and the ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely and accurate manner independently.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and able to assess issues from multiple angles comprehensively to problem solve effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Drive, etc.).
