A leading company in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to enhance HR strategies that resonate with the organizational goals. The ideal candidate will manage recruitment, employee relations, and ensure compliance with labor laws, while fostering a supportive workplace culture. This role requires significant HR experience and the ability to handle expatriate affairs.
Support the development and execution of HR strategies that align with the company’s vision, mission, and business objectives.
Contribute to workforce planning, organizational development, and strategic HR initiatives.
2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from workforce planning to candidate selection.
Ensure a seamless onboarding experience that fosters engagement and long-term retention.
3. Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
Address employee concerns and grievances professionally and efficiently, ensuring fair resolution of conflicts.
4. HR Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws and HR regulations, including regular updates to policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate HR records and audit-readiness at all times.
Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of compensation, benefits, and group insurance programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
Support annual salary reviews and incentive programs in collaboration with management.
6. Payroll & Benefits Administration
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with statutory requirements.
Manage employee benefit programs, claims, and inquiries.
7. Employee Engagement & Retention
Design and implement engagement strategies that enhance job satisfaction, employee morale, and retention.
Coordinate employee feedback surveys and follow-up action plans.
Handle employment matters related to foreign employees, including work permits, immigration processes, and compliance with regulatory bodies.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with exposure to both operational and strategic HR functions.
Strong experience in employee relations, grievance handling, and performance management.
Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment, learning & development, and HR compliance end-to-end.
Experience managing foreign employees and expatriate affairs is a distinct advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
In-depth knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel domestically as required.
