Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior HR Executive to join our human resources team in Malaysia. In this position, you will collaborate closely with managers and staff across Malaysia and Singapore to provide professional HR services and solutions, including recruitment, training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations. The role will also support HR initiatives and activities across the Asia Pacific region.

What You Will Do As A USANA Senior HR Executive:

Essential

  1. Responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, development, and offboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for employees at every stage of their journey with the company.
  2. Accountable to handle work structure, recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, industrial relations, and employee engagement.
  3. Formulate and maintain HR policies & procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and the company's business needs.
  4. Proactively stay up to date with changes in labor laws, HR practices, and industry trends to implement HR best practices.
  5. Establish strong working partnership with business leaders and respective colleagues to provide HR solutions that align with business objectives and strategies.
  6. Collaborates with head of departments to execute HR strategies.
  7. Ensure performance reviews are conducted in line with company policy.
  8. Conduct training needs analysis and implement the training plan for employee development.
  9. Collaborate with hiring managers to meet staffing requirements through effective recruitment processes and initiatives.
  10. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including liaising with recruiters, drafting job briefs, conducting HR screenings, coordinating interviews, and contributing to the creation of a strong employer brand to attract suitable talent.
  11. Ensure that job descriptions are kept up-to-date and accurately reflect the requirements of each role.
  12. Act as a key resource for employees on matters relating to benefits, performance, grievances, employee relations, and general HR inquiries and provide day-to-day HR support in a legally compliant and professional manner.
  13. Contribute to and execute regional HR initiatives and activities.
  14. Organize and ensure accuracy and compliance in HR data and record-keeping.
  15. Plan and execute employee engagement activities to foster a positive workplace culture.
  16. Prepare and compile HR management reports, along with presentations, as needed.

Additional

  1. Participate in HR-related surveys and market research to keep current on market trends and practices.
  2. Travel domestically and internationally on weekends and nights as required at USANA events.
  3. Provide support to the manager in regional HR duties as needed.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Background and Skills You Will Need

  1. A degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably gained in a multinational corporation (MNC).
  3. Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English and Malay; proficiency in spoken Mandarin is advantageous.
  4. Strong knowledge of local labor laws and statutory regulations.
  5. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  6. Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
  7. Able to effectively multitask while maintaining an efficient, results-oriented approach.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.
  9. Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  10. Ability to perform all essential job duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct safety threat to others or oneself.

Position is located in Malaysia.
