Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking an experienced PCB/Layout engineer in Penang to lead high-frequency PCB layout with extensive analog expertise. You will collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to address manufacturing and assembly challenges.

You will design dense PCBs, perform peer reviews, and contribute to design integrity through Cadence Allegro, Virtuoso XL, and Calibre tools, ensuring reliability and RF performance across fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience preferred.
• Solid hands-on analog block level layout experience.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, cross-section and construction.
• Solid understanding of layout principles including reliability and failure mechanisms.
• PCB fabrication process knowledge
• Requires strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, and desire to work in fast paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Proficient with Cadence Allegro and coordinate with FAB/assembly houses.
• Layout complex hi frequency PCBs across disciplines.
• Conduct peer and design reviews for PCB designs.
• Participate in a ticket system for job assignments and status reporting.
• Design dense and complex PCBs with RF signal requirements and varied fabrication technologies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role requires wide skill in the PCB industry. PCB layout and extensive knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes and how to address problems as they arise with FAB and assembly houses.

• Ideal candidate will be proficient with Cadence Allegro. Experience with other CAD tools is a plus.
• Work with a wide variety of engineering disciplines to layout complex hi frequency PCB.
• Conduct peer and design reviews for PCB designs completed within the group as a participant.
• Participate in a ticket system for assigning jobs and reporting job status to the engineering community.
• Design dense and complex PCBs with a wide variety of component types, emphasis on RF signal requirements, and board fabrication technologies.
