Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Malaysia, Penang, is seeking a Hardware Design/Electrical Engineer to design and develop advanced hardware platforms from schematic design through board bring-up and validation.

You will work hands-on with high-speed digital designs, collaborate with global teams, and drive products from concept into production while performing feasibility studies and validation planning to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in systems and hardware design, including complex electronic systems.
• Strong foundation in both digital and analog circuit design.
• Experience with high-speed design concepts and signal integrity.
• Proven board-level design using Cadence tools (OrCAD/Allegro).
• Proficient in programming/scripting (Python, Perl, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced hardware platforms from schematic design through board bring-up and validation.
• Work hands-on with high-speed digital designs ensuring performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with global teams to integrate hardware deliverables from concept to production.
• Conduct feasibility studies, margin analysis, and validation planning for robust designs.
• Perform empirical testing and root-cause analysis on evolving hardware.
• Manage relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design.
• Drive JDM engagements to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions and successful programs.
