Job summary

HEINEKEN Malaysia Berhad is seeking an Assistant Manager – External Affairs to build and maintain relationships with Federal, State and local government authorities to safeguard the company’s licence to operate.

You will monitor policy developments, provide timely insights on risks and opportunities, and support advocacy strategies, position papers and stakeholder communications to advance the company’s interests.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Law, Public Policy, Business or related field. Postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
• More than 5 years of experience in Government Relations or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of government relations, public policy and the regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with Federal, State and local government authorities.
• Support government meetings, engagement programmes and stakeholder outreach.
• Monitor policy, regulatory, legislative and fiscal developments relevant to HEINEKEN Malaysia.
• Assess impacts and provide timely updates and recommendations to External Affairs Manager.
• Assist in developing position papers, submissions and advocacy materials.
