Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Golf Coach to support the delivery of our growing golf programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Coach and Director of Golf to lead group coaching sessions, provide individual technical instruction, and support the development of players both on and off the course. The role also includes active involvement in marketing, recruitment, and enrolment activities, as well as travel to domestic and international tournaments with students.

This position is based full-time on campus at ECM Golf Academy @ Epsom College in Malaysia and involves working with students aged 6 to 18 years old.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured and engaging group and one-on-one coaching sessions to students aged 6 - 18 years of varying skill levels
  • Support the design and implementation of training plans aligned with long-term athlete development principles
  • Assist in recruitment activities, including taster days, open events, and outreach to prospective families and agents
  • Travel with students to local and international golf tournaments and ensure pastoral oversight during trips
  • Collaborate with academic and boarding staff at Epsom College Malaysia to ensure student-athletes are supported holistically
  • Monitor and report on student progress; contribute to performance reviews and goal setting
  • Promote good practice in fitness, nutrition, and injury prevention
  • Contribute content for social media, brochures, and other marketing collateral
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all participants

Requirements

  • Proven experience coaching golfers in a school, academy, or club setting
  • PGA Professional Qualification
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of spoken and written English
  • Ability and willingness to travel for tournaments and recruitment purposes
  • Good understanding of strength & conditioning and basic sports nutrition
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, student-first approach
  • Ability to manage time, schedules, and logistics efficiently

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean
  • Experience coaching high-potential or elite-level players
  • Familiarity with video swing analysis tools, golf-specific performance apps, and athlete tracking software
