Job description

This position involves overseeing the general ledger accounting tasks within the FMCG sector. The Senior GL Accountant will contribute to the enhancement of accounting processes and deliver accurate financial reports within a timely manner.

Description

• Manage the general ledger and oversee financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Improve systems and procedures to enhance efficiency of the financial reporting process
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Contribute to the development of the company's strategic goals
• Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded
• Review staff's journal entries to ensure accuracy
• Prepare and present financial reports to management

Profile

A successful Senior GL Accountant should have:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of the FMCG industry
• Proficiency in various accounting software
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
