Job summary

Sofomation is seeking a senior petroleum geologist with a Master’s degree in Geology or Geophysics and at least 10 years of industry experience. You will integrate well and production data to evaluate reservoirs, perform formation evaluation, and work closely with geoscientists and engineers in a collaborative team.

Proficiency in Petrel 3D and G&G software is essential. The role emphasizes reservoir modeling, 3D well design, and robust interpretation of well logs, with emphasis on structure,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics or related discipline.
• 10 years’ experience as a petroleum geologist.
• Experience integrating well and production data to evaluate reservoirs.
• Experience with formation evaluation and reservoir geology.
• Direct experience working with geoscientists and engineers in a team environment.
• Strong technical skills in G&G software and workflow. Proficiency in Petrel 3D.
• Reservoir modeling and 3D well design, with interpretation of well logs and mapping.
• Volume calculation and design of deviated and horizontal wells.

Responsibilities

• Interpret well logs and perform reservoir correlation.
• Construct structure and isopach maps to evaluate reservoirs.
• Carry out volume calculations and plan deviated/horizontal wells.
