Job description

A Senior General Ledger Analyst manages and oversees financial transactions, ensures accurate reporting, and supports month-end and year-end closing processes.

Description

  1. Assist with GL general accounting tasks, including but not limited to journal preparation and account reconciliations for Asia BUs within GBS Asia.

  2. Process accounting data and tax computations for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, as well as financial reporting to local country offices and HQ.

  3. Oversee tax compliance responsibilities, including updating the tax calendar, preparing, reviewing/validating, and submitting Corporate Income Tax, Indirect Tax filings (VAT/GST), WHT, tax reporting, and related tax reconciliations for Asia legal entities. Ensure accurate and timely submissions in accordance with tax regulations and authorities, collaborating with the Geo finance, Geo Tax team, and tax consultants.

  4. Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and compliance with 3DS corporate policies, internal controls, IFRS, and statutory accounting principles in journal entries.

  5. Support audit processes within the department, including preparation and review for statutory, internal, and other audit or review requirements, and liaise with internal and external auditors.

  6. Manage and execute continuous improvement, regional, corporate projects, or ad-hoc tasks as assigned, meeting deadlines and working independently or collaboratively as necessary.

Profile

  1. A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, such as a degree, Chartered or Certified Professional Accountant designation, or equivalent (ACCA, CPA).
  2. A minimum of 6-7 years of experience in an accounting role.
  3. Solid understanding of APAC Local GAAP accounting and tax regulations across various APAC jurisdictions; hands-on experience with ERP systems is essential, and familiarity with ERP implementations is a significant advantage.
  4. A strong process control mindset, with self-motivation, excellent analytical skills, and advanced technical taxation/accounting expertise. Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial, along with a process-driven approach.
  5. Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin as the candidate is required to serve mandarin speaking country.
