A leading company is urgently seeking two experienced Senior General Inspectors specializing in Welding and Painting for a temporary offshore assignment. The position involves acting as a Client Representative during critical offshore operations, ensuring that work meets project specifications and international standards. Candidates should possess a minimum of 12 years of QC inspection experience and hold valid certifications in welding and coating inspections.

Qualifications

Urgent Hiring: Senior General Inspector (WI & Painting) – Offshore

Mobilization from Kota Bharu / Songkhla to JDA – Malaysia-Thailand Waters

Mobilization Date: 10 June 2025

Duration: 30-40 Days

We are looking to urgently mobilize two (2) experienced Senior General Inspectors with Welding and Painting/Coating expertise for a temporary offshore assignment.

This is an offshore-based role acting as Client Representative during offshore Transportation & Installation (T&I) and Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) operations in the JDA (Joint Development Area). Candidates will be responsible for quality control, inspection supervision, and ensuring compliance with international standards.

  • Act as Client Rep ensuring work meets project and industry specifications.
  • Prepare inspection reports and liaise with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Monitor contractor performance and compliance to QA/QC plans.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 12 years of QC Inspection experience, with 3–4 offshore projects in a Client Representative role.
  • Valid certifications:
  • Welding Inspection: CSWIP or PCN WI Lvl 2
  • Painting/Coating: BGAS, AMPP, ICorr, or NACE Level 2
  • Valid T-BOSIET and OGUK Offshore Medical
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently offshore
  • Familiarity with offshore project requirements, specifications, and quality standards
