Job summary

Vuly Trampolines Pty in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong AWS backend experience and Flutter capability to own backend features and contribute to Flutter across mobile and web. Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.

Senior Full Stack Engineer (AWS + Flutter)

The Opportunity

As part of our growing KL hub, we are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong AWS backend experience and solid Flutter capability. Reporting to the Lead Mobile App Developer and working closely with the engineering team, this is a hands on, high impact product engineering role.

We need an engineer who can take ownership of backend features from technical design through implementation, testing and deployment, while also contributing to Flutter across mobile and web when required. You will help build scalable, secure and maintainable digital products across our growing platform.

What You Will Do

• Backend Development: Design and build scalable backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Database Development: Design relational data models and efficient queries using PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
• AWS Application Services: Build application features using Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, SQS, EventBridge and related AWS services.
• Flutter Development: Build and maintain application features using Flutter and Dart across mobile platforms.
• Flutter Web: Develop web applications and internal portals using Flutter Web to maintain a consistent technology stack across mobile and web.
• API Design: Build secure and maintainable REST APIs and real time interfaces for mobile and web applications.
• Real Time Features: Support messaging, presence, notifications and consent based location functionality using appropriate backend patterns.
• Infrastructure as Code: Contribute to AWS infrastructure using CDK with TypeScript and maintain infrastructure changes through version control.
• CI/CD: Work with GitHub Actions and automated testing to maintain reliable build, validation and deployment workflows.
• Security: Follow secure authentication, authorisation, IAM, secrets management and minimum access practices.
• Observability and Quality: Implement logging, monitoring and error reporting using CloudWatch, Datadog and Sentry, with automated unit and integration tests.
• Performance and Cost: Identify application and backend bottlenecks while making sensible infrastructure decisions that balance scalability, reliability and AWS cost.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with the Lead Mobile App Developer, other developers, UI/UX designers and business stakeholders, while maintaining clear technical documentation.

Non Negotiables (Must Haves)

• 5+ Years of Software Engineering Experience: A proven track record building and maintaining production applications in a senior engineering capacity.
• Strong AWS Backend Experience: Hands on production experience with Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, Cognito, IAM, CloudWatch and related AWS services.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js Experience: Comfortable designing and building production backend services and APIs using TypeScript.
• Flutter and Dart Experience: Strong practical experience developing production Flutter applications.
• PostgreSQL Experience: Strong knowledge of relational modelling, SQL, indexing, transactions and database performance.
• API and Real Time Development: Experience designing secure REST APIs and familiarity with real time application patterns.
• Infrastructure as Code: Practical experience with AWS CDK, Terraform or another modern infrastructure as code framework.
• Git and CI/CD: Strong experience with Git workflows, pull requests, automated testing and deployment pipelines.
• Agentic AI Development: Comfortable using agentic AI coding tools in day to day development, with experience building efficient workflows that improve delivery speed and code quality while managing context and token usage responsibly. AI generated code must be reviewed, tested and owned by the developer.
• Security and Technical Ownership: Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, secrets management and secure data access, with the ability to take features from requirements through deployment.
• Clear Communication: Able to explain technical decisions clearly, collaborate with technical and non technical stakeholders and maintain useful documentation.
• Presence: This is an office based role in KLCC, Monday to Friday.

• Geospatial Development: Experience with PostGIS, mapping, location based applications or geographic queries.
• Real Time Systems: Experience with WebSockets, messaging, presence or live location features.
• Event Driven AWS: Experience with DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Flutter Ecosystem: Experience with Riverpod, Dio, go_router and modern Flutter architecture.
• Observability: Experience with Datadog, Sentry or similar monitoring and application health platforms.
• Identity Standards: Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and PKCE.
• Formal Qualifications: AWS certification or a relevant tertiary qualification in technology.
