Job summary

Respond.io in Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer to own complex Vue 3 modules within a fast-moving SPA. You will drive architecture decisions, collaborate with the Backend Department, and ensure secure, responsive interfaces while mentoring mid-level and junior engineers.

You will leverage AI-assisted coding/testing and CI/CD with GitHub Actions, aiming for high performance and scalable UI components across devices. Opportunity for growth in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-4+ years of software development and/or testing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Vue.js, ideally Vue 3.
• Proficient with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience building SPA using Web Sockets.
• Proficient with Vite/Rollup build tooling and Git/GitHub, including CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Vitest and Vue Test Utils for unit testing, Playwright for e2e testing.
• Self-starter, independent under pressure.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Influence architecture decisions and technical direction of modules.
• Shape structure and design of platform modules and REST APIs.
• Own complex product features end-to-end with Backend Department.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Utilize AI coding tools and AI-assisted testing as default workflow.
• Balance functional and aesthetic design, responsive across devices.
• Develop reusable frontend components and libraries for the team.
• Optimize application speed and scalability as user base grows.
• Review code for quality and performance, mentor juniors.
