Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a senior Front-End Design Automation Engineer to advance front-end EDA flows—RTL lint, design-quality checks, STA, and CDC/RDC signoff. This role blends deep technical work with roadmap leadership and a focus on AI-based automation for faster, smarter flows.

You will collaborate with design, CAD, IP, and library teams, mentor FE flow issues, and enable user adoption of UPF and timing-flow best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in silicon design automation and front-end methodology.
• Proficient in RTL lint, design-quality checks and STA.
• Experience with UPF low-power techniques and RTL signoff.
• Experience with AI/ML or agent-based automation in EDA flows.

Responsibilities

• Shape the front-end flow roadmap and architecture.
• Drive AI-based modernization for lint triage and timing analysis.
• Mentor FE flow issues and methodology decisions.
• Enable user adoption of UPF and timing-flow best practices.
