Job summary

Altera in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Analyst to join the global Engineering Finance team. You will lead planning cycles, forecast, and quarterly closing for cost centers, partnering with US-based leadership and cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong Oracle EPM fluency, Excel modelling, and the ability to own end-to-end financial processes with initiative and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including planning cycles.
• Strong hands-on Oracle EPM proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models for decisions.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex financial models.
• Strong analytical skills turning data into insights.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and cross-functionally.
• Excellent communication with non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in AOP development and quarterly forecasting for assigned cost centers using Oracle EPM.
• Track in-quarter spend against budget and prompt corrective actions with leads.
• Contribute to quarterly closing ensuring accurate actuals and classifications.
• Engage in 5-year strategic reviews and multi-year financial modeling.
• Build investment analysis models (NPV/ROI) to support decisions.
• Partner with engineering, product, and leadership to inform resource allocation.
• Track IP milestones and their financial implications across portfolio.
• Review contracts for licensing/royalty terms and proper accounting treatment.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Accounting, and business teams across systems.
