A major logistics company located in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a highly driven Senior FP&A Analyst to support executive-level reporting and planning cycles. The ideal candidate will prepare monthly management reports and develop presentations to communicate financial insights while leading the standardization of FP&A reports. A Bachelor's degree in finance, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Power BI, is required. This role also looks for candidates with a minimum of three years of FP&A experience and the ability to partner with diverse stakeholders.

We are looking for a highly driven Senior FP&A Analyst to join our Group Finance team. This role will support executive-level reporting, planning cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
Prepare accurate and insightful monthly Group management reports for senior leadership team.
Support the end-to-end planning cycle, including Budget, Forecast, and annual financial calendar preparation (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Capex, and key KPIs).
Develop executive-level presentations to communicate financial performance and business insights.
Handle ad-hoc analysis and business queries from management.
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
Lead the standardization and streamlining of core FP&A reports and tools (e.g., OneStream Cube View, Budget & Forecast submissions, Management P&L).
Build and enhance advanced reporting models and KPI frameworks for improved decision-making.
Drive process improvements by implementing standardised, automated, and integrated forecasting and budgeting methodologies.
Support reporting automation efforts and act as a Transformation Champion within Group Finance.
Essential Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, including the ability to develop automated tools, templates, and analytical models. ERP exposure is an advantage.
Solid understanding of project management, continuous improvement methodologies, and systems enhancement.
Working knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards.
Business & Analytical Skills
Ability to analyze revenue, EBIT performance, working capital trends, and capital deployment effectiveness.
Experience developing data-driven assumptions and insights within a structured FP&A environment.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Proven ability to produce high-quality management reports, dashboards, presentations, and KPI analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Professional qualification (CA/CPA) is highly desirable.
Minimum 3 years of relevant FP&A experience in shared services or multinational environment.
Experience partnering with business stakeholders across different countries/regions is a strong value-add.
