Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under MFRS. You will run general ledger operations, supervise accounts payable/receivable, and coordinate audits with internal and external teams.

The role requires a CA/CPA, 5+ years in financial accounting, strong MFRS knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. Manufacturing sector experience is a plus; position is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field is required.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team work.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per MFRS and standards.
• Manage general ledger operations, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable with timely processing.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors for readiness and queries.
• Maintain and improve financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Analyze variances and prepare explanations/reports for management.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting activities to support planning.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
