Job summary

Asia Recruit in Malaysia is seeking a senior finance professional to manage regional financial reporting, budgeting and analysis. The role requires a degree in accounting/finance or professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) and at least 6 years' experience in commercial finance or business analysis, with Big 4 advantageous.

You will prepare timely reports, conduct KPI analysis, drive budgeting/forecasting, assess ROI and opportunities, and support process improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in Commercial Finance, Business Analysis or similar roles; Big 4 experience is an advantage.
• Strong financial reporting, analytical and business acumen with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, self-motivated, organised and results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for regional reporting
• Conduct monthly financial and operational KPI analysis against budget and forecast, identify key variances, provide clear commentary and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyse sales, gross profit and marketing expenditure against budget/forecast.
• Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, including analysis of risks, opportunities and initiatives.
• Conduct profitability and pricing analysis across different lines of business and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Evaluate ROI and conduct pre- and post-analysis of marketing programmes and new business projects.
• Drive improvements in financial processes, standard operating procedures and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support other ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
