Job summary

Lear Corporation, a global automotive technology leader in Seating and E-Systems, is seeking a hands-on FP&A professional in Malaysia to lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis across Asia plants.

The role emphasizes close collaboration with plant FAs in China, India, Thailand and Vietnam, a heavy reliance on Hyperion and Excel, and delivering timely monthly closings and five-year plans for the Asia Surface/Structure/TCS segment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills and Hyperion knowledge.
• Minimum 5 years in Accounting, Financial Analysis, and/or Auditing within a manufacturing environment and/or multinational corporation (MNC).
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese to support stakeholders in the China region.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Involved across the organization to implement strong FP&A processes.
• Hands-on role using Hyperion and Excel.
• Interact with plant FAs and regional stakeholders to ensure forecasts are accurate.
• Prepare and consolidate monthly close, rolling forecasts, annual budget and 5-year LRPs for Asia plants.
• Perform analyses on volume, revenue, operating income, free cash flow, capex to inform decisions.
• Establish and maintain key operational reports.
• Analyze financial data to ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

About the Role

The position is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis across plants in China, India, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is a hands-on FP&A role with significant exposure to manufacturing operations and regional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be involved across the organization in a variety of areas - looking to make an impact by implementing strong financial planning and analysis.
• The candidate will be "hands on"; Key tools used: Hyperion and Excel.
• Interact with plant FAs (Located in China, India, Thailand and Vietnam), operations and functions to ensure forecasts are appropriate.
• Assist in timely and accurate preparation and consolidation of monthly closing, rolling financial forecasts, annual financial budget and 5 years LRP for Asia Surface/Structure/TCS segment plants.
• Perform standard analyses on volume, revenue, OI, free cash flow, capital spending, function savings etc. to provide information on early business indicators and to support decision making.
• Establish and maintain key operational reports.
• Analyze financial data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed.
• Assist with and manage various ad hoc projects as needs.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) will be an added advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Hyperion preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, and/or Auditing within a manufacturing environment and/or multinational corporation (MNC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written, to support stakeholders in the China region.
• Strong understanding of P&L management and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferred; experience with Lear Corporation products and operations would be an advantage.
