Job description

Position Summary

Senior Finance Analysts (Treasury) is to carry out the Finance – Record to Report (RtR) tasks to ensure:

  • That the operations would produce timely, accurate and quality work on the accounting area of Reporting, Treasury, Asset Management (AM) & Taxation.
  • That the scope of work & processes is in accordance with accounting principles, comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Ensure RtR processes are aligned with Vinda Group processes with minimum acceptable local exceptions.
  • That always seek for continue process improvement to strive for higher quality and efficiency.
  • Responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

You will play an important role to:

1. Treasury

a) Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Optimize cash management strategies and recommend process improvements.

b) Treasury Operations & Banking

  • Manage banking relationships, including account maintenance and fee negotiations.
  • Oversee payments, fund transfers, and intercompany settlements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and treasury policies.

c) Risk Management & Compliance

  • Analyze financial risks related to foreign exchange (FX), interest rates, and market fluctuations.
  • Support hedging strategies to mitigate currency and interest rate risks.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

d) Debt & Investment Management

  • Assist in managing corporate debt, credit facilities, and capital structure.
  • Monitor investment performance and recommend portfolio adjustments.
  • Prepare reports on debt and investment performance for management review.

e) Treasury Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and enhance treasury management systems (TMS).
  • Automate treasury reporting and improve efficiency through technology solutions.
  • Support treasury projects, such as system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.

f) Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare treasury reports, including cash flow summaries, financial risk analyses, and compliance reports.
  • Support financial planning by providing treasury-related insights.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and other teams for integrated financial management.
2. Records to Report (RtR)
  • Responsible to work with RtR team for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, providing in-depth analysis of financial performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, drive together with the team for process efficiencies and support strategic decision-making.
3. Tax
  • To be able to assist other RtR team on tax function as when it required (i.e., Tax filing and Tax computation).
4. Asset Management
  • Serve as a backup for asset management tasks, including asset creation, depreciation calculations, and reporting when it’s needed.
5. Industrial Matter
  • To assist manager on industrial matter as related to requirement from FMM, MITI, MIDA, Custom and etc.
6. Others (5%)
  • Audit - Assist in queries from auditor regarding the AP matters.
  • Customer Focus - Provide adequate and timely support and information as and when required by Vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Team Management - Attend and actively participate in team meetings and activities. Proactively voice out questions/opinions in the team operations/management. Attend and actively participate in Company’s meetings and activities e.g., Stock-take and Physical Asset counts.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 3–7 years of treasury, corporate finance, or banking experience.
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or any relevant discipline.
  • Good knowledge in Treasury functions.
  • Good knowledge in GL accounting and its fundamentals.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge in Oracle / SAP would be added advantage.
  • Good analytical skills and able to spot a challenge with suggested solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, self-initiative and yet a good team player.
