What is the opportunity?

Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments, and treasury services. The Finance team at RBC Malaysia provides Finance and Accounting support to RBC Malaysia locally, in addition to all of RBC’s businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. The Finance operations in Malaysia serve as the Center of Expertise for APAC Finance, offering Accounts Payable, Financial Control, Product Control, and Performance Management services. The goal for Malaysia Finance is to deliver first-class accounting services to stakeholders in Asia Pacific and enable onshore Finance teams to be valued business partners.

Working Hours : 6am-3pm

What will you do?

  1. Perform Profit and Loss Reporting for Capital Markets and Treasury Services in APAC.
  2. Complete designated Finance and Head Office reporting promptly.
  3. Deliver Financial Reporting in line with SLAs.
  4. Provide excellent service as evidenced through KPIs.
  5. Complete various reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, including materials for Australian and Asia Risk Committees, DFR/KRI statistics, Asia Consolidated P&L, Weekly Commentary, and reports for Management Committees and Boards.
  6. Assist with Transfer Pricing booking and reporting, including reconciliation and aging for APAC businesses.
  7. Participate in local and global projects, driving process improvements like report standardization and centralization.
  8. Maintain standard, centralized processes for effective management reporting.
  9. Ensure documentation such as procedure notes are current and maintained according to best practices.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Background in accounting and finance, preferably with knowledge of financial instruments and P&L analysis.
  3. Working knowledge of accounting concepts within a Financial Institution.
  4. Advanced Excel skills.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Attention to detail.
  7. Exposure to and understanding of regulatory requirements in APAC.
