Job summary

RBC Shared Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a finance professional to maintain and improve financial accounting processes for the Singapore operations and APAC region. The role involves preparing statutory reporting, ensuring SOX compliance, and supporting transfer pricing activities.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in finance, a relevant degree, and a strong Excel skill set, with preference for those holding an accounting designation.

Qualifications

• Finance discipline, preferably Accounting, Audit, Management Reporting or Financial Planning & Analysis.
• 5+ years of experience in finance roles.
• Degree required; professional accounting designation strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts within a financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial accounting records for Singapore, including review and commentary of non-trading P&L.
• Prepare reporting in line with RBC and statutory requirements (SOX, GL attestation, etc.).
• Prepare intra-group and transfer pricing invoices and entries.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable COE to ensure accurate accounting of payables and fixed assets.
• Assist with year-end audit and drive process improvements.
• Participate in local and global projects, including standardisation and centralisation of processes.
