Position Summary

Senior Finance Analysts (Tax) is to carry out the Finance – Record to Report (RtR) tasks to ensure:

  • That the operations would produce timely, accurate and quality work on the accounting area of Reporting, Treasury, Asset Management (AM) & Taxation
  • That the scope of work & processes is in accordance with accounting principles, comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Ensure RtR processes are aligned with Vinda Group processes with minimum acceptable local exceptions.
  • That always seek for continue process improvement to strive for higher quality and efficiency
  • Responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making

You will play an important role to:

1. Taxation

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, preparing accurate tax filings, and supporting the business with tax-related planning and analysis
  • Prepare and file corporate income tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST), or Sales and Services Tax (SST) returns in compliance with Malaysian regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) and other tax authorities
  • Monitor tax law changes in Malaysia and ensure compliance
  • Support management in identifying and implementing tax-saving opportunities.
  • To liaison with tax agent on information requested to complete yearly compliance tax, estimate installment payment, tax audit and all tax related issue.
  • Take a lead or key person in coordinating the monthly tax computation of tax provision posting together with other RtR team.
  • Prepare the group tax package in timely and accurately.
  • Assist manager in preparing yearly tax budget and other tax initiative exercise.
  • To prepare transfer pricing which incompliant with both IRB requirement and Group transfer pricing policy. Update and maintenance transfer pricing defense document. To liaise with inter/intra-company on AP/TP.
  • Work closely with finance, accounting, and other departments to ensure alignment on tax matters

2. Records to Report (RtR)

  • Responsible to work with RtR team for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, providing in-depth analysis of financial performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, drive together with the team for process efficiencies and support strategic decision-making

3. Treasury

  • To be able to assist other RtR team on cash management function as when it required (ie: Daily Bank Reconciliation)

4. Asset Management

  • Serve as a backup for asset management tasks, including asset creation, depreciation calculations, and reporting when it’s needed.

5. Industrial Matter

  • To assist manager on industrial matter as related to requirement from FMM, MITI, MIDA, Custom and etc.

6. Others

  • Audit - Assist in queries from auditor regarding the AP matters.
  • Customer Focus - Provide adequate and timely support and information as and when required by Vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Team Management
  1. Attend and actively participate in team meeting and activities.
  2. Proactively voice out question/opinion in the team operations/management.
  3. Attend and actively participate in Company’s meeting and activities e.g., Stock-take and Physical Asset counts.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Work Experience: At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in Accounting & Reporting
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or any relevant discipline
  • Good knowledge in Taxation functions
  • Good knowledge in GL accounting and it’s fundamental.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge in Oracle / SAP would be added advantage
  • Good Analytical skills and able to spot a challenge with suggested solution
  • Ability to work independently, self-initiative and yet and a good team player
