Job Purpose:
As a Team Lead, Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting directly to the FP&A COE Senior Manager, you will provide FP&A support, business partnership for your portfolio, and coach the FP&A team. You will engage in dynamic interactions and collaborations with key stakeholders across different countries worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Support FP&A reporting and system requirements for APJ Global, including monthly closing (variance analysis), forecasting cycle, annual operating plan (budget), and ad-hoc analysis for P&L and Balance Sheet (e.g., Country or Vendor GP margin, Vendor Rebate, Freight, SG&A, Non-GAAP Operating Income, and Working Capital performance such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory).
- Provide financial support such as in-depth analysis and advice to finance and business leaders to drive decision-making, including Vendor GP margin analysis, business development opportunities, and SG&A analysis.
- Coordinate with Controllership (Accounting) to ensure proper accounting treatments and audit support for business transactions.
- Act as the primary finance contact for the business team and liaise with other functional teams (Operations, Credit & Collection, Tax, Treasury, Legal, IT, HR).
- Monitor and support the financial performance of your portfolio to assist regional FP&A with consolidation and analysis for monthly closing and budgeting.
- Lead and coach the FP&A team on technical skills, career development, and goal setting to ensure team success.
- Coordinate backup and team support within the team.
- Standardize and automate processes to eliminate non-value-added tasks and inefficiencies, focusing on higher-value business partnering activities.
- Support and adopt new financial reporting tools, dashboards (PowerBI, AI, etc.), and systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience managing or supervising employees is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including leadership.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under stress and pressure with high workloads and deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Quick learner and adaptable to new systems and technologies.
