About Our Client

Our client is a large organization operating in the retail industry with a global presence. They have a diverse workforce and are widely recognized for their commitment to innovation and excellence.

Job Description

  • Oversee annual statutory audit by external and internal auditors; prepare draft financial statements and disclosures for audit and statutory filing
  • Manage monthly closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayment recognition for assigned APAC countries
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with SOX and local GAAP; support monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain fixed assets register and ensure proper depreciation in line with company policy and local tax laws
  • Assist with annual budgeting and budgetary control processes
  • Compute corporate taxes for year-end close
  • Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors for audit
  • Work with tax agents to ensure timely filing of income tax returns for APAC countries
  • Reconcile and submit indirect tax returns (e.g., GST, FBT, WHT) to local tax authorities
  • Support government statistics survey responses
  • Contribute to corporate initiatives and drive ad-hoc projects
  • Perform other related ad-hoc duties as needed


The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy / ACCA with 5-8 years of relevant financial accounting experience in a multinational company
  • Chartered Accountant qualification and prior audit experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, China GAAP, and SOX requirements
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin as you will be handling China region
  • Adaptive, resourceful, and eager to learn continuously
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, etc.), with knowledge of Blackline and Hyperion preferred
