Job summary

Sime Motors is seeking a capable accountant to manage general accounting, financial reporting and taxation for the company. You will produce high-quality reports and ensure deadlines for monthly, quarterly and year-end closes are met, while coordinating with other sections to resolve issues.

You will support continuous improvement of accounting processes and ensure SAP FI/CO General Ledger compliance, including tax computations and statutory accounts in line with Malaysian standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Professional Degree in Accountancy/ ACCA /CIMA or its equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general accounting and financial reporting and taxation of the company.
• Produce high-quality reports and meet monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines.
• Highlight and follow up outstanding balance sheet issues and coordinate with relevant parties.
• Prepare consolidated financials, MFRs and MOR slides for head office and subsidiaries.
