Job summary

EcoCeres in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to lead the Finance Team and provide full financial support, reporting, and services to ensure smooth operation and strategic delivery.

You will oversee budgeting, cash flow, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting, working with department heads and external auditors to optimise cost control and drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance / Accounting / ACCA or equivalent.
• Min 10 years of working experience in the related field is required.
• Proven experience in financial management, preferably in oil & gas or related industry.
• In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other departments and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced spreadsheet applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to optimize financial results.
• Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, including forecasting and ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
• Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.
• Prepare financial data and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Any other ad-hoc task shall be assigned by the superior from time-to-time.
