Description
- Report directly to the Managing Director, overseeing core financial reporting functions including financial & management reporting, financial planning, budget control, treasury, funding, tax management, policy development, and related legal work.
- Participate in feasibility studies and due diligence on potential investments, organize budgets, evaluate cost-effectiveness of manufacturing plants, and advise on investment impacts on cash and profit.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and regulators.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and compliance with laws and regulations related to financial, statutory, audit, and tax reporting.
- Implement risk management practices to create economic value, focusing on credit and market risks.
- Source funding, evaluate, and apply for financing and loan instruments.
- Oversee cash flow projections, manage payment and collection schedules to optimize cash management.
- Lead periodic budget reviews with the team to assess financial results.
- Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information, and make strategic recommendations to enhance business performance.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Profile
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a financial controller or management role is an advantage.
- Experience liaising with banks on funding and project accounting.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Knowledge of manufacturing financial operations is an advantage.
- Leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop others.
- Visionary, proactive, and willing to take calculated risks for business growth.
- Attention to detail, alertness, and ability to identify growth, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of current accounting standards.
- Excellent reporting and organizational skills.
Job Offer
You will be rewarded with an attractive package of RM 18,000 - RM 22,000 monthly.
