With the commencement of new developments in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, we are seeking new talents to join our existing team at Runnymede Group.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions including financial reporting, finance operations, corporate finance, and taxation.
- Manage and supervise day-to-day finance and accounting functions of the Group.
- Ensure timely preparation of Group accounts (monthly management reports, reconciliation reports, budgets, statutory accounts, cash flow, progress billing, and credit control) and finalization of statutory accounts with auditors, in line with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage consolidation of accounts and group reporting for statutory compliance, board reports, and shareholder requirements.
- Undertake and update project feasibility studies for project financings.
- Arrange and negotiate end-financings for project buyers.
- Conduct tax planning, review the Group’s financial performance, and provide insights to the board and shareholders.
- Collaborate with the Contract Department to manage financial aspects of contracts.
- Work closely with the Company Secretary for corporate secretarial functions.
- Review corporate structure and management systems; develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, solicitors, external IT consultants, and government agencies.
- Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc projects, and other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Accountancy/Finance with professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, etc.
- Member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants.
- Minimum 12 years of experience, including at least 5 years in property development and construction, with full set accounting and consolidation experience.
- Audit experience is an advantage.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- IT/Computer literate, proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to work independently with integrity and confidentiality.
- Dependable with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong management and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task, and eager to grow beyond the core role.
