Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Finance Manager (SEA) is responsible for managing core finance operations across the SEA region, ensuring that all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards. This role leads the Regional Business Services (RBS) team, which includes Record-to-Report (R2R), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) & Credit Control, Tax, Treasury, and Government Affairs.

Work Location: Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang (next to Setia Alam)

You will play an essential role in:

1) Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and manage the RBS team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Align finance operations with regional strategic priorities and RGE/Vinda Group governance frameworks.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, driving capability development and succession planning.

2) Financial Operations

  • Oversee Record-to-Report (R2R) activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results in line with company/group and regulatory standards.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Credit Control functions, minimizing credit risk
  • Supervise Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure timely and accurate payments and proper vendor management.
  • Lead treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, funding management, and banking relationships.
  • Ensure tax compliance across SEA markets (eg, timely filings, accurate reporting, and adherence to corporate and statutory tax policies).
  • Manage government affairs, including regulatory filings, licenses, audits, and stakeholder engagement.

3) Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and ensure timely and accurate submission and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

4) Continuous Improvement & Internal Controls

  • Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost effectiveness in finance operations
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with policies
  • Monitor and report KPIs across transactional finance areas, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions

5) Ad hoc projects and initiatives

  • Participate and support ad hoc projects, transformation initiatives, and M&A activities, as required

6) Administrative Oversight

  • Oversee selected administrative functions including insurance, legal, company secretarial, and office operations.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage; manage policy renewals, claims, and reviews.
  • Leverage technology and automation tools to streamline finance workflows and reduce manual interventions.

7) Collaboration

  • Partner with internal business stakeholders to support operational finance needs and issues.
  • Advise management on financial operations, tax matters, and regulatory development.
  • Collaborate with external parties, including auditors, tax authorities, legal counsel, and consultants, to ensure compliance and timely resolution of issues.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • At least 8 - 10 years working experience in FMCG, MNC, or any similar industries
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Experience in Oracle/SAP systems and advanced Excel and financial tools knowledge is preferred
  • Experience of working with multi-cultural teams across APAC
