A multinational organization in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced finance leader to manage financial operations, provide strategic recommendations, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and professional certifications, along with over 15 years of expertise in multinational environments. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Evaluate financial data, trends, and key performance indicators to deliver insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Manage financial operations encompassing reporting, analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning to drive company growth and achieve financial goals.
Foster effective communication and collaboration with shareholders, investors, creditors, and regulatory bodies to build organizational credibility and strengthen stakeholder trust and support.
Manage the Group Company’s financial transactions and operations—including AP, AR, GL, and MRD—to ensure accurate records, timely payments, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and optimized profitability.
Collaborate with the ENS team on hedging positions to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide margin forecast analysis to the Chief Financial Officer as needed.
Evaluate site-level internal control processes to meet management requirements, ensuring cost transparency, enhanced cost tracking, and progress toward top-quartile OPEX performance.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of Statutory Accounts, Board meeting papers, Quarterly Bursa reports in compliance with Bursa Listing Requirements, and the Annual Report.
Schedule and manage audits to ensure financial statements are finalized for Board Meetings and ready for inclusion in the Annual Report.
Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the Group Company’s tax position and ensure compliant transfer pricing for intercompany transactions.
Review Annual Income Tax Returns with the company’s Tax Agent to ensure accurate submission to the Inland Revenue Board in line with tax laws and IRB guidelines.
Oversee Custody Transfer Measurement and Hydrocarbon Mass Balancing processes on-site to ensure compliance with standards and drive continuous process improvements.
Oversee hydrocarbon process flows and recommend internal controls to improve efficiency and minimize oil loss.
Lead the Finance team in daily operations while fostering critical, innovative thinking to resolve issues aligned with market best practices and industry standards.
Oversee workforce planning to ensure commitments are met, including recruiting permanent staff and supplementing with short-term resources when necessary
Drive staff competency development through training, coaching, and hands-on experience to enhance immediate performance and long-term career growth.
Collaborate with the Regional Finance team to plan and implement Finance initiatives efficiently and effectively.
Drive the implementation of regional strategic initiatives while addressing and supporting HRC business requirements.
Work closely with Regional Finance to perform regular joint analyses and assessments, identifying issues and opportunities for improvement.
Work collaboratively within the Group to leverage resources, adopt emerging trends, and implement best practices to deliver sustainable strategic and shareholder value.
Identify, collaborate, and leverage the appropriate resources within the Group for long-term strategic success (e.g., new trends, remuneration planning, headcount planning, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent, with preference for candidates holding professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
Experienced Finance professional bringing 15+ years of expertise in multinational organizations.
Extensive finance expertise with a solid understanding of internal controls.
Strong knowledge of MFRS and Bursa Malaysia compliance requirements.
Highly disciplined in following organizational processes, policies, and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a naturally inquisitive mindset.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Thrives under pressure and is highly motivated to meet deadlines.
Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong ability to integrate business acumen with process knowledge.
Highly goal-oriented with a strong determination to deliver outcomes.
Adaptable to working across different time zones when necessary.
Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP.
