Senior Finance Executive (Malaysian Phosphate Additives (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, Bintulu)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the statutory financial statements and monthly business reporting to the management;
  • Liaison with auditors for quarter reviews and statutory audit;
  • Liaison with Groups on management reporting work issues;
  • To coordinate with management reporting team to provide necessary management information report to support the business needs;
  • To ensure accounting records are maintained in compliance with corporate and regulatory policy;
  • Initiate continuous process improvement ideas and work towards implementation;
  • In charge of direct tax compliance activities for corporate taxation matters which include preparation of the detailed tax computations and tax estimation;
  • Prepare and liaison with MIDA for tax incentive submission, revised tax computation after MIDA’s approval;
  • Assist in tax audits conducted by tax authorities and prepare all information / documents / explanations requested by the tax authorities in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Provide advice and assistance to respective departments to facilitate compliance with obligations under the various tax laws, for example income tax and withholding tax;
  • Keep up to date on corporate tax technical and developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or relevant professional qualification;
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience;
  • Strong accounting knowledge with work experience in audit & tax;
  • Up-to-date knowledge on the latest tax changes and developments, the authorities’ guidelines and practices;
  • Good interpersonal skills, results driven with multi-tasking capabilities;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good knowledge in MS Excel;
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Able to work under pressure.
